Philly Triple Threat was formulated in August 2007 as a partnership between principle owners Eric Worley, Shawn Gee, and Carnell Groomes. Due to the many obstacles and challenges facing Philly area young males along with the lack of opportunities for young girls, the above-mentioned men decided to collaborate and form Philly Triple Threat.
Since being established, Philly Triple Threat has grown from 1 boys & 1 girls travel team in year 1, to serving between 12 – 15 travel teams annually in recent years. Boys teams in grades 4th – 8th and girls’ teams in grades 5th – 11th compete in local, regional, and national level tournaments and leagues. PTT currently serves over 500 children annually in Philadelphia and surrounding areas and has served over 5,000 children since our inception.
