THE “PTT WAY”
Bigger Than Basketball
Phrases like “It’s Bigger Than Basketball” have become cliché, but remains the primary reality of why PTT exist. The life lessons learned, the coach/player relationships that are formed, the life-long friendships that are created and the exposure to the PTT professional network and resources are a few examples of why PTT is Bigger Than Basketball.
Development is Key
Player development, coaching development and parent education has become a critical component of PTT.Although PTT will ALWAYS strive to be a competitive organization on the court, the OVERALL development of those that we serve remains a priority. Starting with our Developmental Program, carried on throughout our Skills & Drills & Small Group Workouts and emphasized across our Travel Teams. Winning is fun, but development is more important.
Be Greater Late
Serving student-athletes can be a blessing and a curse, as the pressure to be great and excel in sports are placed on kids at younger and younger ages. Most kids grow and develop at different rates, therefore a good 4th or 5th grader doesn’t always equal a good 9th or 10th grader. Being good early is nice, but being greater later is better.
